Hi guys, been a while since I posted on here, anyways, On my beloved MK HGT I have had a downpipe stud shear off whilst changing the front pipe section. I have tried drilling it out but I have only managed to drill out half the stud, the drill just stops halfway in the flange. I have bought brand new bits and am using my cordless drill because it runs slower than my mains one but it just won't budge.
Anybody got any tips for drilling this fecker out?

Dude i've got a minifold and down pipe for sale from my MK1 HGT it's now got a 20vt coupe lump in it.

Use a mains drill. Whatever you do, dont replace the manifold unless you really have to. Its a bitch of a job which includes removing the aircon unit, trust me.
