Error message on starting

After some little scrote kicked off the drivers side wing mirror of my V reg Bravo 1.8 hlx, the loose ends of the electric mirror must have shorted a fuse, as an error message (C1) started to show on the odometer display a few seconds after starting the ignition.

Have had the mirror replaced by my insurers recommended local garage, and mentioned the error, but had the car back, and it still does it. I've given the relevant fuses the once over, and can't see any burnt ones.

Is this message worth worrying about? Will the ECU reset in the repair guide/running guide sort it out? Anything else I need to know?

Thanks in advance,

I'm assuming you HLX is a MK2 1999> so it'll be the sensor for the outside temp causing the error message.

Did they replace the mirror with a mirror that has a temperature gauge on it? You can tell by looking at the mirror from underneath and noticing a black type screw/nipple.

If its not got one, then get one and the error will go away.
