I have had the injector light come on the dash so I got it onto a diagnostic machine today after the advice you guys gave me. It turns out the problem is throttle position sensor. Does anyone else have any experience of this problem? or any idea how much it is going to cost to replace and how easy it will be?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

The year and model of your car would help greatly in answering your question.

Have a looksee in the guide as I think there is something about it in there.

Cheers Tom, had a look it had other things about the injector but not the throttle position sensor

I'm sure there was.. unfortunately the search feature ignores anything under 4 characters so searching for HGT TPS doesn't work :)

Alfanige knows something about them.

Cheers, I will try angel tuning then and see what they say.

Have the same prob myself and was advised to change whole trottle body. Seems an expensive exercise (euro 800 ). Any cheaper solutions??

I have spoken to several garages, and the only solution is a new throttle. I rang round a few places and the cheapest I can get it is £372+VAT so the car is booked in for Monday for them to look at. Fiat try selling you a new one which is around £500 but they also do exchange part which work out a little cheaper. Fortunatly labour should not be to high as it is not a long job to do
