hi, can anyone tell me whereabouts the fuel filter is located? I have a 1999 Bravo HLX. the only thing in the engine bay that looks remotely like one is attached to the airflow meter/throttle body(???) which i thought is an unusual place for it...?

If your car has one ( mk2 1.2 & 1.6's dont i believe ) its just in front of the OSR wheel under a plastic panel , easy if you have a ramp if not bit more of a struggle ;)

great stuff thanks i'd never have found it under there!

I thought the fuel filter in the 1.2 was submerged in the tank and not changeable?!

Dan

As i said above on the mk2 1.2/6's its parts of the pump , presuming anon means a 1.8 hlx ?!

what I'm saying though Tom is that there isn't a changeable filter on the 1.2...or is there?

Dan

Agreed with Tom that all the fuel pumps in the tank have a pre-filter but its not a service part ( ie change the filter = change the pump ) , again afaik the mk2 1.2's dont have a seperate filter , they still have the panel in front of the OSR wheel but nothing under it . Saying that there seems to be a lot of mk1/2 swapping around at the factory so if you wanna be sure drop the panel and see if anythings there .
