Hi all,
My Bravo is goin in for its first MOT (under my ownership) and wasnt sure when last the cambelt was changed so going to get that changed too.

Is there anything special I need to tell the garage to do etc when changing like stuff to do with the tensioner or something? Plus what is a fair price for the job in the west midlands?

Its a 1.8 btw. Cheers.

Things to change are Timing Belt & Tensioner, Auxiallary Drive Belt. (If you can afford it theres the water pump, auxiallry belt tensioner)

Had the above done at a garage near me for £60+VAT. I supplied parts. That was also for a 1.8.

My 1.6 is going in for a cam belt change in friday and have been told its gonna cost £120ish from a local fiat specialist

Where did you get these parts from and are they totally necessary to change when changing cam belt cos with the MOT I will be very short of cash.

Parts purchased from Fiat. Try www.shop4parts.co.uk maybe cheaper.

Get all belts and tensioners done. If they fail it's bye-bye engine.

Not something you want to economise on really.

Not everything can be found on shop4parts.

Best thing is get a price from Fiat and from Shop4parts and try save afew £££'s.

Also the aircon models have a longer aux belt than non aircon models also they cost more.

Maybe you can find a good garage with parts included mate.

I just suggested what i paid and that i bought genuine parts.
