is there a way that a 20v or 16v turbo/punto turbo/uno turbo or jtd turbo can fit on a HGT

As title,

we all know the 20vt lump can go in, but i was wondering if i can get some added boost from another turbo from a fiat or alfa etc?

i dont want to run mega boost, but it would be nice to spend nos money on custom fitting a turbo....

what about a jtd turbo?

also how are turbos managed? i have never worked on a turbo, are they mechanical (can i add it with out a new brain) or electronicly contoled?

so if it take exhaust gasses from an exhaust manifold i need a manifold from a 20vt, and then in theory i can bolt a turbo to that providing the piping can work, then i need an appropriate intercooler and piping there...as it is mechanical i will not need a new brain, but if i get a unichip i can get the most out of it

do you see a plan forming....

i dont want major boost just some added boost!

You WILL need something to control the fueling, otherwise the engine will destroy itself.

But then the compression on the HGT engine is wrong for a turbo, the cams are wrong for a turbo, the pistons are wrong for a turbo....

Turbos have to be reasonably well matched to the engine, yanking a turbo of a.n.other car will not work very well. Diesels also run a LOT of boost and have quite different turbos.

Why not just transplant the engine?

2.4 JTD should fit in there nicely
