hello, have any of you experienced a problem with second gear on a 1.4 bravo.for some reason it won't select 2nd,i can get every other gear and there's no horrible noises coming from the box...........any ideas....

I have that same problem with 1st and 2nd, don't know why though.

Bill u only drive ur bravo using 3rd gear upwards?!!!

well 1st and 2nd are just really stiff, i thought thats what he meant, but maybe not. just ignore me lol

try the cable it might be dry inside it's sleeve

will changing the gear box oil help?

Steve, what cable? The gear linkage is rods.

If your gearbox oil is old then new stuff does help.

the cable selects the gear and the rod selects the gate on the gearbox.solved my problem,took the box apart today and found some burring on 2nd gear synchro so all is now well...
