my screen is here. but i dunno wat is the positive and negative on the ashtry lighter supply i want to cut the and off and hard wire it in. 1 is black and the other is black with whote strip the white strip goes to the middle springed bit and the black is on the out side bits

do you not have a meter? you can get them for about £2.50 from maplins?

If not dab one of the wires against the bodywork quickly, if it sparks it's +ve

Don't you ever look in your haynes manual...

Take out (or get a spare) 12v bulb, stick it on the wires, this will tell you which is the positive...

I think the one with the stripe is the power, but don't quote me on it...lol

no haynes for me.... ... not to sure how a bulb will tell me what is the positive or not :S

also mate that disk still hasnt arrived unless u havent sent it yet

A bulb will only work one way, so if you connect a bulb to the two wires it will light up, if not, you have the wires the wrong way round...

You should get it soon, i packaged it up but forgot to post it...it went yesterday.
