Just incase anyone here has a family member or knows anyone who has a MK1 Punto....

We received this morning a notice about corroding brake pipes in the winter that are affected by salt/grit.

The letter goes on to say that we should take the car back to a Fiat Dealer who will makes the necessary fixes/repairs free of charge. It does however, go on to say that you must produce the letter when you turn up.

Worth a mention I thought.

yes i had a punto bout a year and half ago,i got that letter a long time ago,i did'nt bother taking it as was about to sell it but may aswel take it if there doing it for free

I had a 1.1s Punto before i got my 1.4sx Bravo. Fiat do sometimes send the letter out by mistake. I received it twice, however the first time i phoned and asked about it and they said it had already been carried out previously by the last owner. I have no idea why they sent it again 4 months later as it didnt need redoing. So you may want to check before you take it in.
