As diagnosed correctly by many people on here, i'm sure the problem now lies with the slave cylinder...

I checked it twice before and it seemed fine (squeezed the rubber bit on the end, nothing came out), even prised the ring off to check it (looked fine) but it was still loosing fluid...

I checked/tightened up alot of the pipes etc, but that didn't do alot...

Trying to fix the reversing switch yesterday, for some reason i though i would squeeze the slave again (don't ask me why...lol), it squirted bloody everywhere...

Anyway i ordered a slave cyclinder last tuesday anyway (£40 for the HGT), just in case (lucky i did) and they phoned me this morning to say it had arrived...so i am going to try changing it now in the cold wind and rain :(

So hopefully in about 25 mins my baby will be driveable again :)

All done, much easier than i thought aswell...:)

The biggest problem was trying to get the battery tray out after dropping my only 13mm socket down onto the tray beneath...lol

Anyway thanks for the help in the previous post...

...and just for info, there was a split in the rubber but it was on the underside, so maybe when i squeezed it previous it squirted straight down out of sight...

glad you got it sorted! but £40! ouch! The one for my 1.4 cost me £12 about 9 months ago!!!

It was supposed to be £40 + vat, but i know them fairly well, the guy on the parts desk goes to my local, so i didn't pay the vat...still expensive though, i only paid
