Hi,

I have a nice Brava 1.6 ELX '99 for some months and my remote keys stopped functioning. Can anyone help me what might be the problem and how to fix it?
I changed the batteries, but not helped. Two pieces of 3V energizer batteries, is it OK?
Sometimes I see the red light on my key (just one flash), when I push the button, but the car does not open, nor beeping.

someone had this problem a while back - i think it turned out that the receiver in the car had stopped working. might be one for fiat - but i can see them charging quite a bit - i might be wrong though - nige might know a bit about central locking cos i know he has sold a few kits in the past

Do the keys need to be reprogrammed if the batteries go flat?

Do you have the Red Key?

Thanks for your reply. I hope not the whole system went wrong. The repairman in Fiat said the key should work with 1 piece of 3V battery and since I used 2 pieces of batteries (that makes 6V), the chip broke down in the key. But thats unbelievable for me...
