I was going to reset my ECU, but i have heard conflicting things about how long you should leave the battery disconected, some say 45 mins, others over night, what is best ?
Well, i'd accidentally run my battery flat, playing the cd player with the int light on, so i left it for about 6 hours while the battery was charging... most of a morning and afternoon....
Why ?, well apparantly it is meant to return all the cars electrics and settings back to the factory setting, especially good if your car happens to be running a bit rough.
It'll probably run a bit rough for a few miles after a reset. Once its reset, run the engine for 10 minutes to let it align itself and stuff, switch it off, then u are good to go.
