Hi all
I've noticed over the last couple of days that my Brava has been running slightly lumpy,do you guys have any ideas on a remedy for this.Is it worth trying a full tank on Super Unleaded?
Its not due a service and no warning lights are on.

Its a 1.6 sx 16v. on 96 plate.
Example when my foot is resting on the clutch lightly feels like the revs dip really slightly with the gearstick vibrating very slightly too.

so u feel the feed back through the pedal as the gear stick is vibrating??

i aint no mechanic and im sure tom will correct me cos no doubt im wrong but if u can feel the vibrations of the gearbox on the clutch pedal then ur clutch or gearbox r on the way out. but tom will let u know soon

Just been out in the it again this morning.
Thinking deeper,may have exaggerated the dips in revs as its so
slight it doesnt register on the rev counter....

By the way i know its not a new car so I know that I shouldn't expect it to run like one!!!!!

i dunno mate. sounds like u might have the classic "SMEE SYNDROME". ur mind is telling u problems that aint there. except my car has a problem and no fecker knows wats wrong so says its ok. ITS A CONSPIRACY AGAINST ME I SWEAR.

How long since it was last serviced and DO NOT rest your foot on the clutch pedal.

About 3 months since last service.
And I will rest my foot on my clutch NO MORE!!!!

also not advised to rest ur hand on gear stick as the vibrations r natural and doing so can actually increase the wear on the gear box.
