You failed to note the ':)' :)

If someone wants to be a sheep and follow the saxo brigade then they can.

Currently my ice is worth more than the car and I've spent far too long fitting it, I shall be keeping the little italian thing for a while longer.

Maybe an alfa GT in a couple of years.

Re: Re: Re: rear clusters

Its hard to decide which I like less, Lexus-style rear lights on a non-Lexus (let's face it if you have bad enough taste to think a Lexus is classy you deserve what you get) or carbon fibre effect sticky-back plastic.

Re: Re: Re: Re: rear clusters

David, thats not carbon fibre sticky backed plastic. :)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: rear clusters

So it a real carbon fibre moulding then? I have never seen the point of carbon fibre for interior trim which needs to be neither stronger nor lighter then the original material.

Its a bit like using silver paint to "pretend" the plastic is polished aluminium ant it reminds me of the plastic "wood" you used to get i seventies Datsuns.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: rear clusters

No, its a single layer of carbon fibre purely as a decorative thing. Its got nowt to do with being strong, cos it isn't.

Its a case of needing something to cover up MDF and bodyfiller, not wanting to use vinyl and having a bit of carbon fibre cloth lying around the garage.
