OK time to have a laugh at me. I know I had problems on my HGT with throttle body and potentiometer, but ever since I bought my Alfa 156, just a mere 2 months ago...
Turbo + Air flow meter £1,116 were replaced, I am awating space to get the brake Pads + disks (£250) fitted a new clutch (£150 + £ 460 labour) and today....... my auxilliary drive belt went bang - it went bang becuase the auto tensioner OR the power steering pump seized we havent worked out which yet and its pissing down and dark! Whatever the item is its going to cost £400+ labour
Now remind me ... which is the premium brand....

Unfortunately not! We tuned it to make it at least make it move when I originally got it, then since that time we were holding off until I got the brakes done - as they are completely shagged, but everything else seems to be falling off this little gem!

For comedy purposes, take it to a main dealer who'll say "It's an Alfa. They all fall apart like that."

That wouldnt stop me buying one, however, brains have never been the strong point in my family.
