mk1 vs mk2 again

I was reading around the forem and started wondering. My best mate of has a lancia d with the mk1 and I have a bravo with mk2. Besides the obvious difference (metal vs plastic head cover) and the gear ratios, what else is different??? He claims his has 104HP. He installed an exhaust manifold and his car is really good at high rpm and can get top speed faster than mine but from stop I kick his arse!!!!(I only have a stock filter replacement). Help me make him feel bad about his car!!!!!!!!!!

Bravo's rule

Re: mk1 vs mk2 again

Its VERY likely that the Lancia has a different final drive giving it a better top speed but worse performance off the line.

As far as I know the 1.6 and the 100 are near identical.

The MK2 is heavier.

Btw, I heard some people saying that the MK has a fifth injector. Can this be?

Its always possible, some cars have a 5th to act like a choke when its cold.

The haynes manual says nothing about it so I think its balls.
