I have a 97 P Brava, the slider control for the recirculated / outside air is working in reverse i.e. recirculated when in outside position and visa versa. is this a common problem and how is it overcome

Thanks Mark for your reply, although it doesn't help a great deal in explaining why it is round the wrong way and if any one else has had same problem or what if any thing has bin done to rectify it

I took off the centr facia / heater controls etc the other day. I cannot understand how this problem has ioccurred asfter looking at my car, has it always been like this or did it happen overnight?
