I have a TD100 (1997, R plate) and wish to disconnect, and then later reconnect the battery. Is there a correct procedure for this as I do not want to risk loosing the key codes in the ECU (I do have the red key in case though.

Any help greatly appreciated.

battery disconnect

I changed my battery last week and was concerned about losing codes etc but needn't have worried. Just take out the old battery and put in the new one. The ECU loses it's base engine settings and then relearns them on your next journey. Make sure your radio code isn't active (should show word CODE and not SAFE by going through the expert mode) otherwise you'll have to enter the radio code again.
