Not many for me

20, passed my test 1 week after my 17th.
Here's what I've been driving,

Fiesta 1.0
Fiesta si 1.6
Saxo VTR - From new
Escort XR3i cabriolet - current
Bravo HGT 155 in Yellow - Current

I am 22 and have had the following in five years:-

Seat Ibiza x2 - 1 blue, 1 white (both crap but very cheap runabouts while the following were off the road and only had them for a matter of months)
Triumph Toledo 1300 - Mimosa Yellow (1975)
Triumph Dolomite 1500SE - Black (1978)
Triumph Dolomite 1500 - Vermillion Red (Bright Orange!) (1977)
(Glutton for punishment you see!)
Citroen ZX 1.4 Avantage - White (1992)

And finally -

Fiat Bravo 1.6 sx in Zenith blue (1998)

There is something about the old Triumphs (I nearly bought two more Dollys and a Spitfire) but the Bravo is a very good car, and hopefully will be better when I finally get the damn cambelt situation sorted out!

James.

Got my license in 98 - since then I've had:

'98 - 1984 Leaf Green 1.3 base Cavalier (Nice car)
'98/'99 - 1986 Silver 1.8 CDi Cavalier (Pile of poo)
'99 - 1989 White Citroen BX 14RE (Loved it)
'99-'02 - 1999 Black Seicento Sporting (I want another one)
'02 - 1999 Yellow Fiat Bravo 100 GT (HLX) (Still getting to know each other)

All can be viewed at http://www.geocities.com/bri77_uk if you haven't seen them already from the best colour thread.

oops

sorry nige, just assumed that if you were driving in 1968 you must be older than me, I could'nt legally drive then as I was only 12!

Oh I see the confusion

The date was the year the car was registered, not when I had it. The first one I had when I was 16 in 1985!

Cheers

previous cars

Started driving Mum's mini 850, passed test in nasty Austin 1100.

Then owned:
1966-69: Austin A40 Farina (948cc) - rolled
1970: Morris Minor ragtop - folded up in the middle
1970-73: Ford Prefect 100E 1147 sidevalve Three engines, a clutch, a back axle, a rear spring and a gearbox later ...
1973-77: Hillman Imp: clutch, steering stuff, exhausts ...
1977-1985: Simca 1100 in tasteful orange. So noisy, but apart from a suspension ball joint no problems. Not even a battery, just tyres and exhausts.
1985-1993: The first Golf II - 1272cc, 100,000 miles, a clutch and a heater matrix (fitted foc because of design fault)
1993-2000: the second Golf II - 1800 carburettor - Weber/K&N/Ecotek/stainless exhaust. Another 130,000 miles, and one more clutch (both Golfs gave me 100k on their clutches, both had 30k on when I bought them.
2001-date: Brava 80SX. Takes getting used to ....
