Slow, slow, quick, quick, slow

It has finally taken the insurance company four months and two weeks to sort out my insurance claim. It was clear cut, she came out of a side street and rammed into my car.

So it just made me wonder, whats the quickest anyone has been paid out, and what the longest anyone has waited?

Claims

Marla had her Sei Sporting broken in2 twice this summer and the insurance had the car in the bodyshop the same day and fixed within 2 weeks, no quibble.

My mum had her hyundai coupe broken in to and that was taken away the same day and back the next day!! On the other hand my brother was hit on the motorway and it was 6 months before the car even got taken to a garage! Only just gothe car back and the crash happened last christmas!

cheque in two weeks

wrote my gorgeous black 1.8 hlx off in august last year. spun it off the road into a field, got it towed to a garage where i live and the insurance company sent a guy to look at it two days later. he called me said it was a write-off and haggled with me for a price. get this it was a 98 R on 50,000 miles paid £6500 for it 12 months earlier and they gave me £5900 for it!!!! check arrived less than two weeks after the claim. Very very good service.
