Hi guys, sorry for my English is bad, since I don't live in UK. I have a 1996 HGT.

1st question: how much fuel must remain in the fuel tank in order not to leave fuel pump on dry (i think it always must be below fuel level)?

2nd: i noticed that there is a locking mechanism that locks that gas tank lid, but it seems to be always opened (unlocked). When locking the car from inside, i can hear some strange noise for a second, from rear right... maybe that's the moment when that mechanism fails to lock the lid? What could be the problem?
