I have had my Fiat finance agreement sent to me stating that on payment of my first instalment I have to pay an £85 acceptance fee. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP!!!!! I spoke to the dealer asking what this fee is and he said "an acceptance fee". Gold star for that prat. Could anyone shed any light what this is or am I generally being ripped off.
£85................. there goes my Friday nights beer money.

thats a load of tosh. u dont pay any kind of acceptance fee with fiat interst free or not. i bought my y eg bravo in novemebver, and didnt pay a penny, so he's trying to rip u off, so hit him in the ********. if u wana double check that speak to Tim Fennel in the Slough branch i bought my car from him, 01753 788000. he can confirm it 4 u

Acceptance Fee

This is basically a one of payment to cover their costs of raising the paperwork. 90% of car loans are subject to this as are PCP's PCH's HP's etc. I had to pay this everytime if I remember. Did you finance yours via FAFS - or should I say the W******s in Edingburgh as they are the worst I have ever come accross and completely incompetant. Unfortunately if you buy Fiat or Alfa on a regular basis, you always tend to end up going through them... I have very bad memories. Hope this helps, but I have to say you didn't read your finance deal very carefully if you weren't expecting this!
