Hi gang,

Can anyone give me advice on hot starting problems you may have had with any make of Fiat - I'm having trouble with my Seicento Sporting.

Fiat can not find any problems after 3hrs of diagnostic checks. The lambda & temp sensors have been replaced + new set of plugs and leads. (under warranty thank goodness !!!!)

Diagnosis : A little lumpy at tick over but no probs running or cold starts, no change in MPG just won't hot start.

Cheers

Dave

lumpy tickover

Now that could be sticking valves. Any chance someone's done an oil change recently with some unsuitable oil. Haven't any experience of a Seicento though

performance

would this also cause performance probs. On cold the car runs fine, but last couple of days pull away in 1st is noticeably slower

Hot Starting - Response

Thanks for messages - only done 9k miles & service was recently done at main dealer - oil used was Selina.

Anything else you can think off ??

Seicento

I've got a Seicento Sporting myself now, but never experienced that. It has the lumpy tickover, but that occurs in all i've driven, including my previous Cinquecento.

Another site worth looking at is www.seicento.demon.co.uk

regards,
Paul
