The timming belt failed on my 1997 Bravo 1.6sx after 39,000 miles,
Fiat recommend changing at 72,000 or six years
It caused over a thousand pounds worth of damage and despite many letters to Fiat and providing them with evidence of regular servicing (not with a Fiat dealer) and the repair work they have denied all responsibility and will not even contribute to the repair
As the dealer went bust about two years ago I am thinking about taking Fiat to the small claims court to claim damages on the basis of teh part being faulty from manufacture
Has anyone had a similar experience or can you advise me wether the small claims court would be worthwhile
Thanks
