What is this event?

At Brooklands every year they host the AUTO ITALIA Day at the Museum, but a few years ago they used to have their very own ITALIAN DAY. They have decided that it’s about time to show that BROOKLANDS has not lost the great atmosphere is has always been recognised for.

This will be an All Italian themed event. The Sunbeam Tea Rooms will be themed with Italian cuisine, but will also have a BBQ for those who are not partial to Pizza and Pasta!

Things to do

View the spectacular range of cars Italy has to offer, Weather permitting, they will open up the Test Hill early afternoon,(a Donation may be given for the 3 ascents which will go towards a restoration of the Ancient Monument). Test Hill is controlled by BROOKLANDS MARSHALS TEAM so you are guaranteed some great fun.

The new CONCORDE EXPERIENCE is not to be missed. Pre-book your flights at the Concorde Check-in at the Shell Pagoda by the Clubhouse.

Entry
Entry is from 10am, and prices are £7 Adults, £6 Seniors, £5 for children (under 5s are free). A Family ticket for 2 Adults and up to 3 children is £18.

Fiat Forum Stand

As usual we will be having our forum stand to display our forum members cars. If you wish to be on the stand then please post on here - you dont need to PM me for this. All members are welcome, i just need to know who is coming so I have an idea of numbers as I have been told that we can have up to Ten cars on so room will be tight.



Time

Please be ready to place your car on the stand by 9am, if you get there a little early then thats ok If you get there after 9am, we cant guarantee there will be space.

I have also been told I should be getting a Map in the post, as yet it hasnt turned up so will have to ask them again for it

Hiya has anyone been to this event before and can any of the cars go on the course? If so do you have to pay to do this? I may take my unmoded 1.2 stilo to see what it can do!!

It's not so much a course as a straight steep hill.

The old oval banked course is in a bad way with a housing estate and a supermarket built in it.

the old oval course doesnt exist lol .. well.. only about a quater of the top turn is still there!

the hill run is just a steep straight hill which you have to speed up... pretty sure anyone can do it but you have to make a donation to enter.. not really sure how to do it but alex and alex did it at the meet there earlier this year.

I'd love to have a go at it in the JTD Wouldn't take much effort though

Yeah anyone can take there car up the hill climb, i seem to remember someone taking an mpv up it last time i was there
