The 18th edition of MITCAR keeps up the tradition of being held at a new venue each year, this time at a delightful Stately Home setting with a beautiful Gothic Revival mansion, lake and 20 acres of gardens amid a vast deer park.

IMPORTANT. We have a dedicated entrance for MITCAR. It is essential you use the gates at the west end of the site, post code CV10 7PX

Hundreds of Italian cars will be parked again by marque plus a number of trade stands and dealer displays. There will be special catering available on the MITCAR site and our own facilities, and picnics are very much encouraged in the delightful surroundings. Well behaved dogs are allowed on a leash but barbecues are not permitted

Tickets will be available on the day at £10 per car but we advise advance purchase for speed of entry.

There will be several prizes for best presented cars including the Camshaft Trophy for overall Car of the Day, awarded by public vote.

John here, the main MITCAR organiser.
Looking forward to another super event and seeing lots of cracking FIATs along!

Fiat Motor club are coming over as always, and the Fiat Coupe club will have a special line up too. Our event sponsors Stoneacre group are bring some brand new Fiats, Abarths and Alfas over too you can have a good look at/in.

PLEASE use the Astley Village entrance as per published post code - CV10 7PX. It's a nice drive in then to the park, about 1/4 mile. Slightly bumpy display field but nothing drastic, and really nice by a lake.

House open for tours (if that's your thing) specially for us 11-1, that's £5 a head payable to them at the house when you show your MITCAR programme.

Other than that, all the usual show awards that could go to ANY cars present, Fiat Multipla won one last year! -Plus a special prize draw.

See you there - 10am on. (No need to be super early.)

Cheers!
John

Hi John
is there a meeting point for FF members?
regards
Luca

It's a no show for me tomorrow, luigi started playing up on the way home from festival Italia last weekend. I traced the problem down to an air leak and promptly ordered new parts (carb gaskets, manifold gaskets, vacuum hoses and a new carb base plate) and all last week I have been frantically fitting these parts after work but alas I'm still waiting on one part, the carb base plate which I had to get from Germany and without that part I can't put the carb on :(

Well not a good show today...
Few Fiat, a nice panda 4x4 and a Strada TS
Quite a lots of 500 Abarth and lots of Alfa
Rained all day and I supposed to cast my vote for car of the show by 2:30pm but the prize was given by 1pm
No communication with the stewards at all
Don’t think will be going next year
Shame

The weather was dreadful if you compare it to what summer we have had in 2018. I really enjoyed the day despite it tipping down, apparently almost 200 cars all in. Its the only show I have managed to take my car to this year as Forza was cancelled in the midlands. The Panda 4x4 Country Club was a bute along with the Cinq Sporting. Fairplay for everyone to brave the rain, thank you to those who chose my car for the rarity award.

Yes I was there although not for too long (the wife forgot her Wellies - that was her excuse anyway!) Cannot recall worse weather for an August day - so much for the English Summer drought! Still I enjoyed and thought a decent turnout all the same considering. Nice venue but that made it even more of a shame that the weather was soooo bad. Some lovely cars - Kudos to the 308GT4 driver who was the sole Fezza. Multiple 8C's that were all red. Strada Abarth and 4x4 Panda were lovely but it was just too damn wet to stand and admire/chat. Cannot really blame the organisers. I'm glad they picked up the mantle for the Midlands once Auto Italia deemed not much interest outside of London.

MITCAR have their own album of the day here https://www.aroc-uk.com/eastmids/mitcar_pics_18.html
