Why are people getting their knickers in a twist about a meet point?
It's over a month away !!!
Surely we only need to know the day before.

Not everyone comes on the forum daily, so might not be able to get the info at the last minute. Also some people are compulsive planners, and need to know what they're doing as far ahead as possible or they suffer anxiety attacks.

Also, people like to wind Dom up because it's funny ;)

I will accept the last one is a valid reason (y), however after the obnoxious showing from some members towards other car make owners :nono: when at the Tesco's waiting to go into Stanford Hall I think I will probably not meet but go straight there. It's not something I wish to be associated with.

On a lighter note I enjoyed the meet at the tesco car park it was a really good place to break the ice with fellows owners, I also thought the convoy was awsome and kicked things off the buzzing of cars, never done an all Fiat one before,so fingers crossed there will be a meeting point AGAIN in August

Also

There's nothing wrong in planning yes it may be "far away" but some people have commitments family work and alike to work around not everyone can just decide the day before,
so forward planning is a must and it's always cool to maybe book the day off work after to chill from a long drive or whatever.

:D

Nothing wrong with planning and you don't have to book extra time off dependant on where the initial meet point is so what is your point? As all I said was, you don't need to know where the initial meet point is until nearer the time. That doesn't affect booing time off.

No ones getting any knickers in any sorts of twist bob :p I just brought the subject up incase anyone had any ideas and to keep the thread active and generate some interest that's all. There's no harm talking about it is there? :)

I personally thought the Stanford tescos was great at breaking the ice before the main event but I do agree with you bob I do wish people will behave :(

Yes they are ;) , but it's good to keep thread active and there's no harm talking about the meet.

Yes breaking the ice is fine, although I found the meet to be very model focused, which I also don't have a problem with as I was catching up with people that I've been to meets with before.
As for the behaviour of some I assume time and age will cure that :D, trouble is more youngsters will come in behind  .

Yes your right that's the problem with an open club though :( can't tell people off or kick them out. Shame because one day we'll be asked not to attend and then everyone losses out :(

Still that's a very small minority I think on the whole Stanford was a huge success in terms of getting 50 odd cars from a tescos car park to a stately home 7 miles away and then organising them when they get there. Even if one or two got bashed along the way :p

Just signed up to attend this event.

It's the first time I've ever been to a car meet and I'm a little nervous if I'm honest
