Well, I have to say that was a great weekend. Apart from the occasional dodgy weather spell, I had a fantastic time. Was good to meet some of the people off here finally and the event itself was something else - got a few pics with the iPhone while the battery was working, which I need to edit a bit but shall upload most of them as they turned out quite nicely :)

The cars, company, chat, food (with the exception of McD's and BK's food establishments on the way down south) and atmosphere were all top notch. Even the journeys there and back weren't too bad :)

Must say a big thank you for everyone who made us FS'ers so welcome, especially Ben and Dave who went through the super-mega-huge-marquee set up project the previous evening with us and treated us to a lovely Chinese meal (I'll admit I only had chips, prawn crackers and a tasty fortune cookie) for our troubles :D

Hope to see some of you's at events north of the border and I for one would love to repeat the trip down next year :)

great show guys. enjoyed myself for the two days i was down in that area and hope to meat moer of you next time. or at another even. was about all day but over at clubcento most the time.

alex22 i love your cinq and cant wait till its just down the road in cumbria!!!

That's me finally home in Ellon.:)

AWESOME weekend. I really have no idea where to start, great banter on the trip down, great banter when we went to help on Saturday, great banter all day Sunday and back up the road to Glasgow. Oh, and some niiiiiiiiiiice cars on Sunday!

Good to meet Ben and Dave at last, and all the other FF'ers.

Definately up for returning again next year, hopefully we'll have a few more cars with us!

@Mark - glad you enjoyed the BBQ. And speaking of food, did anyone actually brave a rowie in the end???

Anyway, cracking weekend guys! :slayer:

It's not a problem at all. All in a good cause :)

Yes, PM me or something and I'll try and get some posted out later in the week to ya!

soo glad I got there. Looking at the photos today it was a great show and proud to be on the only stand with any classic Pandas!!!
3 hrs sleep followed by 4 hours driving was a bit ambitious as a start to the day though so apologies if I didn't catch up with many of ya, spent most of the day wandering like a zombie flattening the battery on my camera, then my phone so I could look back later and see what was there
interesting one on the alfa stand.. thought I was seeing things:confused:

follow up to the cherry europe??

Remember reading about these, Alfa went in with Nissan and basically ended up with with nissan body with alfa running gear (thats if this is the model im thinking of).

that's the cherry europe right enough. The thing in the pic is however a Suzuki Alto so unless it's a hilarious engine transplant I'm not quite sure what the alfa badging's all about.
I'd love to think there was some sort of twin sparky loveliness under that bonnet but it would be a terribly tight squeeze I think, and a brilliantly strange choice. I mean what sort of person pulls up in a scrappy in their suzuki Alto project car and walks straight past all the other jap stuff and spies a rear ended Alfa, scratches their chin and goes hmm, wonder if that'll fit??

Popped my pics up in the Stanford "The Stand/Members Cars" section of the stand and member cars (of course). I then went to upload the rest of my pics of the event in the main Stanford folder/area/bit, which was linked to by Ben and has Steve's pics already . Uploaded them and for some reason it won't allow me to add my photos to the actual Stanford Pics section, it just adds it to my Members Gallery page... https://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=4607 (for anyone that wants a look :) ). No other options shown in the drop down box apart from "The Stand/Members Cars", "People" and "Miscellaneous" in the sub-forum tree below "Members Galleries" - the last 2 had/have no pics in them and since Steve's pics are all just in the main Stanford folder, I figured I could just do the same

Guessing the one's I've just upped that are now in my member's gallery page may have to get moved, maybe into "People" or "Miscellaneous"...? Please tell me I don't have to now go to each of picture's edit window and manually use the drop down box to move each and every fricking one individually - I would delete them and re-up as that'd be easier but hey ho :p
