Ok fair enough on that point but aparently my car is running 127bhp on exactly the same engine. The guy on that thread can say that his car is faster after seeing a loss on the max bhp so surely my car should be absolutely flying rather than being a slugish dog up to 4k revs. It may be making hi max power but it is crap through the range.
Or when I ask what mods can I do to my engine, why am I being told that an induction kit and remap is the only way forward. Looks to me that doing cams etc etc may not initially look pretty on paper but they seem to do the job a hell of a lot better when it comes to driving it.

surely hot cams will make your car even worse below 4k? they are usually designed to work above 4k rpm
 
Well i need to find out as i am on the verge of just chucking a 20vt turbo lump in there. But i dont want the hassle of not having any of the electronics working and i dont have an endless pot of money to put all of the computers right etc.
If i can make my N/A 1.6 pick up as well sub 4k revs as it is now above 4k then i will be happy. The added advantage of changing to a new engine is the fact that i wont have to fix my current shot reverse gear.
 
i feel sorry for the other t-jet guy...was only us 2 with t-jet there...haha....:eek::eek:

mine was 147bhp and 172t.....and thanks to peter and oggy im now running.

161bhp and 210t...

Whats been done to yours I was the other guy with the Tjet
