Directions

Burghley is a mile from Stamford, 20 minutes north of Peterborough on the A1. For satnav users post code is PE9 3JY.

From the A1, north or south, take the Stamford junction labelled 'Carpenters Lodge' and brown signs for Burghley House. Follow the road past the estate wall and the impressive Bottle Lodge entrance gates towards Stamford. Just past the A43 turning on the left, turn right past the 'Bull and Swan' and continue for a mile along the Barnack Road (B1443). You will see the VISITORS ENTRANCE on the right. (NB there are other entrances to Burghley, the one with the'towers' which you come to first, will not be open on the day and then there is a pedestrians' entrance further on the Barnack Road but the VISITORS entrance is a full mile further on). We expect to put out some MITCAR notices on the day

only £5 per car not each

we'll be there as usual, as its only 3 days from Beths birthday, no doubt there'll be cake :p

Accesible when you live nearby admittedly ;) Hardly accessible for anyone north or west of B'ham but never mind, not gonna argue over it and spoil the thread.

well, there's always a bed available here, but you know that anyway ;)

they like to have a different place every year so it don't get boring. its getting to be a hard job, Stu found last years place.

if some nice lady does the night before meal in leicester people could stay there, it only be a 40 minutes drive the next day then.

don't forget its not an early start event
