Hi,

I installed the Eco-Drive app on my PC last night, and made ready the USB stick (I can see the iFiat folder and such on it now) and popped it into the USB socket on my 500S before I set off for work.

Got to work after a few errands and popped the USB stick into my PC to see if it had collected any data and the data folder was empty.

Although my USB stick did light up when I first put it into the socket, it went out after a few mins, and I don't see any on-screen notification of it doing anything with B&M.

Am I too assume that (as it says 5 days) it has to do a few days worth before it drops anything to the stick, or is it not working?

Ok, problem. Went out to the car at lunchtime filled with optimism and I don't appear to actually have an EcoDrive option in my menu o_O

That might explain why it doesn't work too well. I've seen a few other posts that mention the TomTom and that it is routed through there, and I did get the car with a SatNav/Integration so I suppose it is possible it goes through there instead. I'll give it another try this evening when I finish as I have the SatNav with me.

On another note, is there any way to tell what version of B&M is installed without hooking it up to a computer?

Not that I know off, try and install the latest version. if it doesn't install then you already have the latest version. if it does install, happy days, you now have the latest version

There's an 'assisted installation' facility on the B&M website.

Basically, you download an installer file, which set-s up your USB stick, plug it into the car and it will download the cars B&M config. You can then put this back into your PC and it'll give you the correct installation instructions.

Make sure you install/reinstall the English language pack too, otherwise you'll have a stroppy Italian woman shouting at you :D

Edit: Do you actually have the integrated TomTom ? If so, yes Ecodrive is a part of the Satnav unit and I'm not sure you can access it using the cars computer / USB port instead. If you don't have the integrated TomTom, but just the hole for it, then yes you should be able to use it using the cars computer/USB by reinstalling Blue & Me to the latest version

Plugged in the Satnav last night and yes, it was all there; trip data/Eco-Drive etc. so I think it's all working. Thanks for the help guys :D

Right, after thinking everything was fine I've gone about trying to fetch data again so I've had my USB stick in for a week and a half. Checked the stick and there is no data being written to the stick at all. The folders are all there and everything appears to be in place.

If I plug in the sat nav and drive there is an eco-drive display which tells me when to shift and an eco-'Speedo' showing how economically I'm driving, so it appears that something is on somewhere, however I've been through every menu (manual and voice) and with the satnav in with no sign of the Eco functionality as an option to turn on/off/install etc.

I'm inclined to assume at this point that my USB socket is powered but not actually doing anything/is broken. I think I might stick some mp3's on the stick at lunchtime and see if it can be seen by B&M later.

I could be wrong, but make sure the stick is FAT32 formatted - I don't think it'll pick up any files if it's NTFS or anything else.

I formatted the stick as Fat32 and d/l Eco-Drive back onto it and as soon as I put it in I got the 'Updating' on the dash which then advised it was complete.

It did then have a bit of a blip, where the voice lady told me that my voice controls where *gap* then cancel, so it appeared to have no options at all to chose from. I turned the car off and on again, and once I put the stick back in it advised that Eco-Drive was enabled.

Data has now been saved onto the stick and its telling me I need another 4 days of data so it seems fine now.

(I'll go check the voice commands are still there later!).
