I have a 1993 camper based on a Fiat Ducato chassis cab. I am trying to find a feed that goes live when I activate the right indicator, and remains live until I turn the indicator off again.
The feed to the bulb itself is no use because, naturally enough, it flashes on and off. I have traced the wiring and it seems as though there are four wires in the loom associated with the indicator switch:
- Black : constant +12v (or so)
- Light blue : connected to right indicator
- White : ignition controlled +6.6v (constant)
- L'blue / black : connected to left indicator
I'm guessing that the white comes from the flasher unit, in which case it looks as though the flasher is constantly live while the ignition is turned on and the sole purpose of the ignition switch is to earth it out via the bulb? If this is so, then it looks as though I will not be able to find something that simply sits at +12v (or so) while indicating, and then drops to 0v when not.
Any ideas?
