Hi Everyone, new member just joined. I wonder if anybody could help me out on this? I have a 1983 Fiat Ducato Camper 2.0L petrol and am thinking about fitting Alloy Wheels are there any after market ones out there you could reccomend or even better (cheaper!) any wheels from other vehicles etc thinking second hand here. The wheels on at the moment are the original 14 inch. Any help/tips greatley appreciated.

Rich.

unfortunately the ducato uses a 5x130 PCD and 78.2 centre bore. as far as i know its the only car that does.

the best wheels to go for are the fiat 16" 5 spooke ones, but they're rare. here's a link where you can buy them for £595 for a set of 5 (without tyres). http://www.tyresave.co.uk/alloyvan.html

EDIT: did a quick search and just found out certain porche models (e.g.924 944) use 5x130 PCD wheels,

Don't forget that van alloys are made to take higher weight loads than cars so even if you get some that fit physically, make sure they're up to the job. In theory:rolleyes: you're meant to inform your insurers! It would also be much cheaper to get the steel wheels blasted and painted/sprayed rather than buying alloys or fit wheel trims!

tHINK I MAY HAVE TO GET MY OLD STEEL ONES REDONE...SEEMS THE BEST OPTION FOR SAFETY

What are the size constraints for a mk1 Ducato? Mine has 14" wheels, so could I fit 15" or 16" wheels without any problems? I have some winter tyres for my car which has 16x6.5 wheels, so it'd be great if I could fit the same size wheels onto the van.

Hi RobA,

I,m in exactly the same position. My current rims are 14 ", and I have a new set of 15" winter tyres from a previous vehicle. I,m wondering whether its a straight forward swap on to 152 Ducato rims, too.

Sorry for resurrecting old threads, but I cant get any info on this.

Larger wheels will affect the gearing. Slower acceleration, higher top speed will be the result and the speedo will be inaccurate.

Mine speedo's 8% too fast so would be an improvement. But odometer is within 2% so that would then under report.
I plan to fit 225/75R16C in place of the current 215/75R16C when they wear out. Will improve speedo, loading and allow softer ride.
