I.m in SCOTLAND.anyone suggest someone to disable pump solenoid having intermittent immobiliser problem.
I know it can be removed and disable immobiliser but not a quick fix.
Auto electrician wants the pump to be removed to work on it as one of the tamper proof bolts isn't very accessible
It's a 2000 ducato 2.8 mechanical pump

I cannot help with suggestions of someone to undertake the work for you.

If the pump was to be removed, the timing belt tension would be disturbed, and the pump timing would hve to be checked. Also there may be a reccomendation to change the cam belt if so disturbed. In my opinion you are correct in not wanting the pump removed.
