Hi
I have had the windscreen replaced recently.
On later inspection I found a mysterious pipe hanging loose near the scuttle drain pipe. Is this just a drain for something or should it be connected somewhere ?

Thanks Bill

It could be a drain. I have this known issue where in the middle below the windscreen water drips onto the throttle body (it's a 3.0) which causes it to corrode over time. I've heard of drains to fix this, this could be it?

This looks like the aerial for the central locking. It is not a tube, it should run up under the scuttle.

Get this part. It fits under the scuttle join and pipes the water away.

Thanks Guys. I've unclipped the retainers and traced the convoluted tubing which disappears under the scuttle and probably into the cab. I separated the tubing and found the 'pipe' doubles in diameter about 4 inches from the end and is more solid, so Mike is most likely correct about it being the sensor for central locking ? Thanks to Mike and Nigel for your help. Regards Bill
