Hi all. Can somebody tell me if i replace the speedo binnicle will the mileage change? the reason for change as follows.
i had my fuel gauge pack up so i had it checked over, the garage swopped the binnicle for one from a van they were working on then my fuel gauge worked.
I phoned a repairer who said they can repair it, but it will take a week to
turnaround.
i have now purchased a s/hand binnicle with 155,000 mls on it
my van has done 33,000 (motorhome) to enable me to use it. the question is
will the mileage stay the same at 155,000 if so will it change back to 33,000
when i replace the original back in or will the ecu stay recording at 155.000.

Strip the original instrument panel down, wiggle the fuel gauge needle gently back and forth and see if that fixes it. I did with mine, all 4 analogue gauges packed up, all given the treatment and all now working!!

Thanks for the advice, will the back come off ok or do i possibly break something.

efinjohn,

If you scroll down the Ducato home page by about six threads, you will find that Ducatiman posted a comprenhensive set of instrustions on existing threads (scroll to the end in each case).
