I am having issues finding the right cambelt for my Fiat Ducato. GSF/Euro sent out totally wrong belt, so tried Fiat direct (Research Nuneaton). They sent me belt. It's the wrong one for my engine. They have gone off reg/chasss number and its the only one apparently (1994 Ducato, LHD, believe originally German).
So maybe its had a new engine at some point. I have an engine number, can anyone identify right belt for me from this: 4722673
Thanks in advance - garage have it up on ramps and not happy.

Is the belt too well worn to see any of the markings on it? Often, even on really well worn belts you can still make out a lot of the original manufacturer's markings/lettering and then intelligently guestimate any you can't make out.

Our Punto is like this with it's auxilliary belt. All the spares people swear blind it's the same belt as fits our Panda, but it's not. It's actually the next size up and when you look closely you can see that the aircon pulley is slightly bigger in diameter on the Punto.

You may also like to tell us what the engine capacity is , if it has a turbo or not ?

Gates catalogue gives option of searching by belt dimensions too.

Have you or your garage asked any supplier if the 1993 year belt listed is different to the one supplied?

No one can identify your engine from serial number you provided.

Post several pictures of engine it is likely someone will recognise it.
