Hi all,

I don't know much about cars and am just asking a question for a relative of mine.*

He owns a Fiat Ducato 2.3 TD. The left side lights are not working, while the right side lights are working. All other lights are fine. He cannot figure out what the problem is. There is no electricity coming to the bulb sockets and he checked the fuses. When he connects a trailer to the van, the trailer has the same problem*- only left side lights don't light up.

Thanks for your help

Thanks Varesecrazy.

Will tell him to check the earth issue.

No warning lights on the dashboard. The ABS light was showing for around a month but now it disappeared.

If the body computer detects a bulb of the wrong wattage it may cut the power.

I discovered it when I had a sidelight bulb blow and didn't have the correct replacement. Put a slightly higher wattage bulb in and none of the lights on that side wouldn't work.
Got the correct bulb and they did.
I have never found any sidelight fuses on my X2/50
My understanding is the body computer cuts the power when it detects an overloaded circuit, so a fuse would be superfluous.
