Hi every body, just failed mot on bottom wish bone rear bush failing, and an imbalance front brakes, been quoted 900 to fix,,, always used to do my own repairs so had a look, the wishbone appears to be attached to a cross member, with a nut showing at the top, if I undo the nut (and every thing else), how do you remove at that point, anybody know? every thing else just needs doing, must admit it's been a long time since working on cars, so will come a bit hard, but needs must.. Any thoughts on the imbalance, thinking strip and check it out,
Tony

£900 strikes me as ridiculously expensive.

Get a complete good quality wishbone rather than attempt to just renew the Bush.

As you used to do your own repairs and have tools do the job yourself and you can pay yourself handsomely.
Work safely , never go under a vehicle unless it is safely supported by proper stands. Never ever go under a vehicle lifted by just a Jack. Jacks can and do fail suddenly with no warning what so ever.

When you have made enough posts you can add pictures.

Post pictures with your questions where possible it will help you get appropriate help.

Good luck
Jack

Thanks for that, yes looking at the parts does seem very expensive, so going to cancel the appointment, just been underneath and looks no problems, just doubted myself, for awhile, time to get my hands dirty, again. Only thing I've not got is torx sockets, but it will still get me a lot of change after buying them.

You are very welcome.

Good man glad you have confident attitude .
if you are still in France sometimes torx sockets can be found reasonably cheaply in supermarkets.
