Hi
I have just picked up my motorhome which has had a new radiator fitted
ask garage to oil grease the gear linkage as it was a bit stiff getting into reverse
don't know what they have done but it now crunches as you put it into forth from third or fifth
it's 2003 2.8
any advise would be appreciated

Ask them.. ;)

Its POSSIBLE
they undid something.. worked lube through it.. then refitted

This COULD upset the gearchange

IDEA:

With engine off.. go up and down through the gears..any tight points?

If its ok like this ..could be a worn syncro... :(

have read a few post and some suggested it could be water in the gearbox

Go straight back to garage, tell them what the problem is .If it wasn't doing it before, tell them it has only started doing it since they worked on it.

I can't think what they might have done that would have upset gearbox but they may have an idea.

If gear lever moves more freely now are you rushing it into 4th gear ?

If they changed the gearbox oil, a different oil may have been used that doesn't work too well with synchros - like a diff oil.
