I have a 2009 Ducato 2.2 100 and won’t start , 30 k miles turns over perfect and fuel pressure fine but just won’t fire up. Had diagnostic by electrical inspector and came out as ecu internal failure. Sent ecu away to get tested and unreliable. Bought brand new ecu with exact matching numbers and still exact same . Engineer coming out again to diagnose again is there something I have missed ? Did reset safety switch and my snap on diagnostic says no faults ???

Check / replace your crank position sensor.

If you have rev counter does the needle move at all when cranking on starter?

I don't know how the imobiliser is set up on your vehicle but do you need to have your key programmed to new ecu before will start vehicle?

Ok it's not likely to be problem crank sensor in that case

When you turn key to on is there a padlock or key light on dash ? Does the light go out after a few seconds?

Imobiliser looking ok then.

If your engine has an anti sudder valve before inlet manifold check it opens when key on or cranking engine.

Was it running ok then just wouldn't start?
Or was some work done then wouldn't start?

Are you getting signal from camshaft position sensor?

If it has anti shudder valve do not put your finger past the butterfly , they can close suddenly if electrically powered and they can sever a finger!!!!
