Good Morning hope everyone is well

i'm still having problems with the Turbo waste gate sticking so have decided to have it rebuilt due to all the issues i have had with the carbon/soot build up problem is that i need the model number of the turbo but we can't get access to it to get the numbers so i can check if the turbo specialist as the required parts in stock and the garage can't afford to block the ramp up with my ducato whilst waiting for parts ect need to know first so i get everything set up to get it turned round in 1-2days

The Ducato is a 2017 Euro6 2.3 130 i have tried everywhere to find a recondition turbo but no one as any stock or can identify which turbo it is currently listing 5 variants

i can supply the chassis number if needed

Regards Paul

Try the VIN number in here:

https://www.fiatdalys.lt/en

It is more up to date than most versions of ePER openly available on the web or linked to from here, (where a 2017 vehicle would be an issue), and it might just zero in on a single part number.

The Turbo is under "fuel injection system".

(Be aware that it doesn't work with all VIN numbers)

2017 will almost certainly need keyper rather then eper
And it appears the obly working version online has been taken down

Well not good news no available rebuild kits for this Turbo only seals and bearings
no available remanufactured stock Fiat price for a new one £1700+vat

Turbo specialist is trying to source and interchangeable Turbo but said that it may not be possible :bang:

Is be surprised if there wasn't one around given how common this engine is

thats what i thought the one for the 130bhp is an oddball according to all the turbo specialists no available rebuild kits available other than bearings and seals no refurbished stock available from Fiat only new Just waiting on a reply from Fiat if they will contribute to the cost with all the issues i have had with it from new the only thing thats original from new is the turbo dpf and throttle body everything thing else as been changed either under warranty or by my local garage after warranty ran out

Well i have decided to risk it and just have the seals and bearings replaced hope the turbines are in good condition
spoke to Fiat on Thursday and there is no availability at the moment for a new turbo as it as to come directly from Italy lead time 6-12 weeks possibly longer

Turbo specialist is 99% sure its the seals worn (200k miles) and is letting a small amount of oil into the exhaust not enough to cause smoke but enough to tar up the waste gate causing the sticking waste gate

Hopefully get it back next weekend

Well the Turbo is off and at the specialist he's just informed me that the seal on the exhaust side was weeping just enough to cause the waste gate to gum up with a tar like substance and that the turbine fans are in very good condition so i will get away with new bearings and seals and a re balancing

Well thought it was too good to be true just got a message from the turbo specialist its been impossible to balance the rebuilt core assembly as there is a small warp in the shaft
Hopefully ive sourced a new replacement turbo in the uk just waiting for confirmation that its still available other than that there are 3 refurbished turbos available in Germany

Auto-Ricambi.eu have a no of turbos in stock , check them out you could be lucky .

I have used them a no of times and been very satisfied when there priceing has been right .

well after spending all day ringing around the UK trying to find a new shaft for the turbo to no avail
Turbo Solutions in the North East found a brand New Turbo in stock from one of their suppliers for £625 + Vat plus the old Turbo
Just had the turbo delivered now on my way to the garage to get fitted

Other companies were able to offer me a rebuild service as they could manufacture parts in house if no available parts but a 5-10 day turnaround this was my last resort option other than trying to buy from Europe but all sorted now will get the Ducato back tomorrow afternoon

Got the Ducato back on the road and done a weeks work all good for now lol

and 49135-00720
