I have a 2013 Hymer motorhome on a Ducato 2.3 Maxi chasis with 16" wheels.

The vehicle was not originally supplied with a spare or carrier.
I have now purchased a spare and wish to mount it underneath. I have had a look underneath and there is a cross member with holes which I assume will take the carrier. Can anyone confirm this and advise where I can purchase a carrier.

Thankyou. Unfortunately it is not an Alko chasis. I have tried to post photos but the system won't let me (or it is my incompetance). I shall try again.

I just installed a carrier for a swift mh based on fiat ducato 2014.

Look for part no 71807355 on ebay desira shop.
Mine had holes for it on the last crossmember by the grey water tank.

I fitted a spare wheel carrier to my Malibu two weeks ago. Easy. I got the carrier from eBay, search on ...Fiat-Ducato-Motorhome-2015-Spare-Wheel-Hanger-Lift-Winch-Kit-Genuine ...
There was enough room to work laid out under the van.

Second this. I installed a spare wheel carrier on mine, not at all difficult.
Only thing you need to watch for is to buy the version with the correct pcd (5x130 for a Maxi). The centerpiece that holds the wheel is different for non Maxi (5x118).
Straight bolt on, all holes are there and enough space to work under the car.
Ref: Westfalia Columbus 2017, L4. (6,36m).

Now you guys have got me thinking.
I have just assumed that the spare is under the rear somewhere. I have a 2012 Fiat Ducato 3.0L Maxi Winnebago Euro-lowline-style motorhome and in 35K klms I have not thought to look...or have I? Damned old-timer's disease!
