Have just finished converting a 2011 Relay into a camper but the gearchange is very stiff.
The actual change is ok with no selection issues.
The linkage on top of the box is free and can be worked by hand with no problems, have this oiled to death to help keep it slack.
Have tried oiling the cables but not easy and made little difference.

Are all the six speed cables the same from 2006 right up until now and more importantly how difficult is it to change them.

Is it simply a case of unclipping at either end and pulling the 2 of them out after undoing the grommet in the floor.

Are 2nd hand cables an option if all running freely.

Can the nylon block with the gearlever cause any issues.

I assume the LHD cables will be shorter but there seems a terrible price difference between the two.

Thanks.

Bought used cables complete with the gear lever nylon block etc.

Fitted them today and has transformed the driving experiance.

Man but those Fiat interior plastic bits are sharp.....................and awkward !!!!
