Morning
Latest faults on my Ducato 2.3
130 EURO 6

P1451-92 Particulate filter
P1206-22 Particulate filter (1st level of clogging exceeded)

Yet
On multi ecuscan it shows “Not Clogged”
And 7.29% clogging!

We ran a forced regeneration last week
And it does motorway speeds daily and 2-400 miles average daily

Runs sweet as a whistle for days then pop limp mode, and could take a few faults code clearings to actually clear limp mode

Any ideas before throwing new dPF at it ??

sorry can't help but im having issues with EGR valve keeps throwing code up for intermittent Blockage but not putting EML on when it does it very poor mpg and no power clear the fault and its fine for a day or so yesterday i put in some additive to clean the diesel fuel system it seems a lot better
Driving conditions are all motorway so no stop/start city driving

just a thought when mine went into limp mode with the DPF fault light on it was the Throttle valve connector corroded also corrosion on the main wiring loom to the throttle valve that was stopping DPF regeneration under normal driving conditions Fiat replaced the wiring loom and connectors under warranty

Map sensor was cleaned on Sunday due to being blocked, new one to fit today, throttle vale was checked when removing to get to map sensor, block connector ok after replacing the valve around a year ago and finding the corrosion, ample spray white grease worked, valve works ok,

Turbo pressure sensor vac pipes replaced yesterday,

Ordered a dpf differential sensor last night as that’s the next suspect, other than a down stream lambda sensor

All the errors yesterday and today are only DPF first stage clogging,
Clear it and drives fine until it pops into limp mode, 24hr gap approx between yesterday and today’s (250 miles and been driving a couple of hours when it went)

See what these two sensor replacements do [emoji1303]

1st at tickover
2nd not hot but warm at 3000rpm

have you contacted wineo he seems to be well knowledgeable & helpful

All faults back after changing
Map
And dpf differential sensors

Turbo pressure pipes new

Earth strap renewed again

Full Serviced

Either a dpf downstream sensor or short circuits ??*♂️

Separate turbo, dpf sensor and dpf clogging errors since this image taken IMG_4447.JPGIMG_4448.JPG

have you got this sorted yet rolopolo

DPF bunged up with Ash, a forced regen only lasts about 500 miles

Replaced downstream sensor
Map, temp, dpf diff sensor
Which stopped most faults
But once it clogged up again that would cause turbo pressure fault, and after clearing a couple of times, exceeded clogging fault, regen and all ok for a day or so

So it’s being replaced at huge cost

Guess 290,000 miles is it’s limit, Shane as euro5 3.0 dpf never had an issue for a lot more miles

Hope to get it back at weekend and will report findings

Turbo pressure was a seized actuator arm/link was stuck causing either a under or over pressure

The Dpf clogging was exactly that,
And at £1800 plus fitting and vat (quoted) and a distinct lake of aftermarket or second had DPF’s for Euro6’s

So it’s been modified

Approx 60-70% of it were blocked with solid “cement” like ash, was blowing out the joints due to pressure build up

290,000 miles and about 30k with issues increasing Might be about the limit for these (motorway mileage not town stop & start)

yep thinking that may be the way to go get it re=mapped mapping out the egr system and dpf which i never sold my old 2007 ducato should of put a new gearbox in it

had mine in at Fiat this morning to have the software update which should fix the egr valve fault but told there is no available update for my vehicle they wanted to strip the egr valve down to investigate but at £90 per hour labour i declined unsure where to go from here

Not good, mate
I know your pain, all local van fiat service points are iveco not really fiat trained, so I’ve little confidence in them

Hope you sort it

Just been chatting to whine0 he as definitely said it needs the software update as he checked it on E-learn system as it will cause problems with DPF and Heat Exchanger if not updated

I will be on the phone tomorrow morning to get them to check my chassi number against the service news document 10.023.19 which is for fault code PO401-61

Sounds like a big fob off by your dealer, don’t know your location but the garage up in immingham think it was north east trucks
Or similar they have or had a lad called Ben who really knew his stuff, sorted my injectors out early 2018
Under warranty

Update,

Euro6 owners

Don’t try removing dpf and mapping out

No end of issues and the clogging counting up in the ECU even tho no dpf fitted causing a clean cycle at 135% clogging (what ECU thinks is the clogging)

Black soot blowing out on acceleration,

A NOx sensor issue was found with a heavily corroded block connector underneath the van/engine was cleaned out,

Meanwhile fitting a 2nd hand as new (2600 mile) dpf saving £2000 (£210 inc vat)

And will be seeking a main dealer to map to stock

There are millions of cowboys and file monkeys to every real world tuner. Sounds like a crap map. But even the crap fellas should have a backup of your ecu map for when the **** hits the fan. If there's any warranty on your van I wouldn't alert the dealer to the fact you mapped it.

The map men have social media chat groups and the couple I know around the country both were involved online trying to sort a fix, maybe there is one,(a fix) but it seems the common feeling is, the ECU is one that won’t allow the dpf, egr DTV deletions, quantum don’t advise it

As for original map, superchips only hold them for 18 months, and mine was 24 months ago,

No warranty so no issues, won’t affect value as this has covered 296,000 miles

Will run it for a few more months hopefully [emoji1303]
