Can anyone advise please. 1 have had 3 replacement CV joints on the drivers and 1 on the passenger side. All supposed to be genuine fiat parts. Only getting 500-600 miles before noises heard on turning then just gets worse. Fiat garage replaced the last one and said shouldn’t have anymore issues. BUT that too has failed whilst on holiday in the Pyrenees mountain.?. My question is there a different cvjoint for the 3 litre 160 multijet as apart from the 2.3 or 2.8 engines? I want to be armed with info for when I get back to garage for them to repair again
Thanks in advance
Chris

obviously no help in the pyrenees but a fiat part fitted by a fiat garage should have some sort of limited warranty -are the joints under strain?that really is hammering them.
would suggest something is misalligned to cause so many failures-i quite reguarly do 600miles in a long day-as have you, to have reached the far side of france -feel bad for you long way from home there

Never had one go yet, 4 x Ducato’s 07, 12,12,66 one being a 3.0 180hp over 1 million miles in 10 yrs

Would suggest it’s down to driving style, a suspension/mountings issue

A mate and his mrs had a Ducato each and had similar CV joint issues, turned out they always parked up kerbs at home and on regular drops,
