Hi yes it does, suggest you drain it first & save or replace the oil, the plug is under the final drive assembly (old internal square type). Original Specs say 2 liters but it should have 2.7 to save the 5th gear from oil starvation. If you replace the oil make sure it is the correct type as some oils can damage the sycro rings -see other posts on the forum, the original -SAE 75-85 API GL4 FIAT 9.55550 Tutela Matryx Manual Gearbox Oil
Cheers

I have read that it is possible to refill the gearbox with a plastic tube and funnel, after removing the breather on top of the gearbox.

Another alternative would be by removing the speedometer sensor at the top rear of the gearbox. However as it seems that it is possible for parts of the sensor drive to drop into the gearbox, I would not recommend this method.

I would be interested to learn of any alternative methods, in case I need to top up the box in the future.

Breather is the easiest remove top air hose and its easy to access

Does the whole breather pull out, or does it have a cap or other detachable part, leaving a body still in situ? I'd like to do mine soonish too. I am posting a fresh thread re gearbox oil and air filter generalities.
