Hello :)

I own a 244 (ZFA24400007838780).

The wire used to fold/unfold intermediate seats is breaked.

I found the replacement part on fiatdalys.lt (part 60911263) but it seems expensive for a simple wire : 95 € !

I marked in red where my wire is breaked on attachments.

Do you know an alternative site where i could buy this wire cheaper ?

Do you think it could be possible to repair or change the wire with another wire (for bike maybe ?)

Thanks
Bruno

I'd be inclined to take the broken cable to a "speed shop" where cables are made up to suit various carburettors etc. They should be able to replace the inner cable quite cheaply.

Hi,

If certainly try with a steel bike brake cable you should be able to solder some end fitting on if you can find the right things

Do you talk about "tin" solder ? I have tin i use for electronic soldering, but is it strong enough ?

I don't know "speed shop", but it's a good idea. Maybe there are similar shops in France...

Thanks :)

Hi,

I fixed it :)

I found a cable from "Gardyparts" in the french shop "Weldom" with the same diameter (1,4 - 1,5 mm) and almost the same end "Z" for about 4 € ! :

The "Z" was a little to large : 4 mm instead of original 3 mm. I filed it a little.

So i replaced the entire cable and it works :)

Bye
