Evening all, am now the proud owner of a 2017 SWB Ducato Technica 2.3 130 with 10k on the clock. Absolutely loving it so far, have got lots of mods planned for it before driving to watch the MotoGP in Mugello next year.

I'm wondering if anyone here can save me the hassle of calling my local Fiat Commercial dealer by helping out with the following:

I have the stereo unit with built in nav and would like to add some speakers in the back of the van, are there four speaker outputs or only two?

When starting the nav it tells me "traffic updates not currently available", is there a way of enabling these updates? So far I've ascertained that my van won't work with the uconnect app so is there another way of getting traffic updates?

I'm going to fit a reverse cam, it seems if I want the camera to appear on the existing screen I need to part with over £350 for some kind of adapter from a company that advertises on ebay, the alternative is a second screen just for the camera. Is there any other way of getting the cam up on the main screen without the hefty price tag?

Other than that we are loving it, excellent mpg, quick, smooth, we've done over 1000 miles already and can't wait to do more.

I'll add photos as I go for anyone who's interested, first up will be split charge, leisure battery, 3 way fridge and storage for our camping gear. Then soundproofing and carpeting etc.

Any help very gratefully received, apologies for opening with a load of questions, cheers all, Ben

The radio supports 4 speakers. If you're lucky you may have the conversion socket in the driver's B-pillar behind the lower internal trim. If 4 speaker prep has been carried out at the factory there will be a socket for the rear speaker connections already wired in.

If you go to the audio controls on the radio, does it have a balance or fader control? If the latter, rear speakers are already enabled in the radio. If it only has a balance control, the rear speakers have to be enabled through dealer diagnostic software.

Are you in the UK? Traffic updates aren't supported in the UK on the very pared down Tom Tom software that runs on the radio. You can get them by using a nav app on a mobile phone or a standalone satnav. The nav software in the factory radio is really pretty rubbish in comparison!

Can't help with that question. I ordered the radio with the camera built in on my van. I suspect there may be a way, but you may need a canbus conversion kit. Many of the features and programming of the radio are controlled through the canbus. You might find someone who has done it searching through various motorhome forums.

Thanks so much RS3100, that is a big help. I'm in sunny Somerset, I'll investigate the stereo format, would be awesome if it was pre-wired! I've heard talk of there being wires ready to go for a reverse camera so I need to pop the hi-level brake light out and investigate that too, I had another look at the kit that's available for £350, I suspect that includes the required adapter just not sure why they are charging so damn much for it. Would be nice to have it all on the same screen but a second monitor isn't the end of the world to save £150.

Shame the sat nav is a bit lame, but like you say there are so many good apps available and at least the van has a built in phone holder on the dash.

Thanks again for your replies.
