Driving on the motorway lost power, dash message ,check transmission, also the red transm lamp came on. After releasing the acc pedal the situation was back to normal. 1/2 hour later again but now loss of power. Stopped, looked onder the bonnet, all ok ? Started again, every thing ok now , reached home.
At home ask the Fiat dealer to read the stored faults, P0905 and P0914. He could not tel me wat it was (never seen before) and did not have time.

Anybody familiair with these fault codes ??
Would appreciat any suggestion, thanks Bob.

They're both related to gear lever and shift position sensors.

Clear, and see if they come back.

With any luck, you'll be OK, if not, then it's hopefully just the gear stick position sensor playing up.

Thanks Shumi for the fast responds. The gearshift position sensors, are we talking about just micro switches or do we deal with more complex matters (can bus ed) ?
Do you know, perhaps ?.

Check your battery terminals are tight also .
Might sound like a longshot but it’s caused all sorts of warnings on my motorcycle

Hello, did you solve this problem? I have same fault. 3 years ago dealer found this problem code, ordered some soledoid and parts but they never arrived and problem never accurs again. I tought it was just bad ground connection on my battery. Until today it happened again after heavy rain.

Car is running fine when i got speed over 70kms but on lower speeds fault comes occasionally on and ducato goes to limp mode. But accelerating and fault gone again for few minutes.

Any solutions or suggestions anyone where i should look? 300km away from nearest dealer.

Hello, my dash is showing a spanner sign. I understand this is a warning for maintenance. However I doing that myself
How can i reset this spanner sign ?

Hello, on my ducato (2008) 3.0 diesel the dash is showing the spanner sign.
I know this is a maintenance warning, however i do maintenance myself.
Does anybody know how to reset this sign. Do i have to do it via the OBDII interface or can i reset this sign via combination of knobs ?
Thank on forhand,
Bob

The spanner sign means time for a service.
A garage can reset it or you can wait about 500 miles or so and it will reset itself.
It is a warning only and does not disable or degrade performance.

Thanks Jake, I think I wait for 500 miles since it does not interfere the drivebility

The combination of knobs etc. which you can find on YouTube and other places refers to the older X244 variant.
